"SNIP........

Gas prices will fall in 2024 for the second year in a row, according to GasBuddy projections, CNN reports.

GasBuddy, which had a forecast for 2023 that proved to be eerily accurate, expects U.S. gas prices will average $3.38 a gallon in the key election year of 2024.

I wonder too if the Saudis finally see that a corrupt, autocratic USA under Trump would be bad for investments in the US. Where would they invest their money if the West falls to autocrats? Sure it is better to have a monarchy at home and robust democracies with transparency and rule of financial laws to invest in abroad. Just maybe the Saudis don't want Trump to win.

According to U.S. EIA (Energy Information Administration), the current average retail gas price in the country is $3.257.
If we're going to have an annual average price of $3.38, gas prices have to go UP slightly.

They maybe down on average compared to '22 & '23, but this forecast suggests they won't continue to go down.

They have to know that people don't keep track of average gas prices over a year.
Given that prices have been falling for many weeks now, the obvious inference is that they will go down from here.
It's as if the headline is meant to grab more eyeballs than the data warrants.

You posted an article that says that. No issue.
I'm questioning CNN's reporting of it.
I agree you should leave it up. It's not untrue.

By manipulating gas prices and getting the media to say it's the other guy's fault. Let's tell the murderous oligarchs "no sale" in 2024.
