Therefore, it's not a machine gun. It's a "tommy gun" in appearance only. However, it meets several states' criteria of an "assault weapon," and the fifty-round drum magazine is illegal in 13 states.

An interesting question is whether Garland, as a former law enforcement officer, gets an exemption from these bans.

EDIT TO ADD: From the link provided above, it appears that it is not a firearm at all -- just an airsoft replica: essentially a neutered BB-gun.
