This manic moment proves something is terribly wrong with Trump - Opinion by Thom Hartmann

Once again, the Thom Hartmann gift for seeing the big picture and presenting it clearly and precisely.

In this article, he cites damn near EVERYTHING I'VE BEEN SAYING (and then some) about Trump and his accomplices (for a decade now), and puts it into a neatly wrapped box... with a frekin BOW on top.

In all its horrible quintessence.

The excerpts below don't begin to do justice to the whole of it.

This manic moment proves something is terribly wrong with Trump - Opinion by Thom Hartmann - Common Dreams, and elsewhere

(note: the above title is how the op-ed appears in Rawstory. The Common Dreams link isn't pay-walled.)

This man is sick. And he’s inflicting his sickness on our country. And he’s surrounded himself with sick people, or at least with people willing to tolerate his mental, emotional, and spiritual sickness.

There’s a deep cruelty combined with a pathological insecurity and a level of hate and intolerance for others that’s shocking. Anybody who’s ever played any sort of role in leadership is looking at this administration aghast. The leaders of the rest of the rest of the world must be in shock.

No president of the United States has ever behaved this way. Probably no governor or mayor has ever gotten away with this kind of psychopathology and obscene behavior.

Fevers break only when the body fights back. Democracies survive only when citizens decide that character still matters, that truth still matters, that children deserve better examples than tantrums and threats and gold-plated vulgarity

It'd have been a relief, had I been wrong about him/THEM, but turns out my fears have been absolutely SPOT ON.

Notice I didn't say my worst fears. Because we haven't gotten there... yet.

Suffice it to say, I believe Trump and his fascist minions have a plan. A 'solution' if you will. And as Hartmann suggests, it'll be up to Americans (of much NOBLER character) to stop them.
