A TINY crowd in a TINY town for a TINY man, with vendors marking "MAGA beanies" down to $5, "without success"

Trump's rally in tiny Rocky Mount, North Carolina drew a smaller than expected crowd to the economically distressed region, leaving merchandise vendors and supporters disheartened.

According to interviews conducted by the Washington Post, the presidential visit was marked by a sense of disappointment and disillusionment as Trump touted economic growth claims that contrasted sharply with the visible hardship surrounding the Rocky Mount Events Center.

One Trump merchandise vendor struggled to move inventory, marking MAGA beanies down to $5 without success. When addressing the reduced price, 18-year-old Thomas Schafer responded, "I don't have $5. We're really broke. It's Christmas time, man."

Post reporter Natalie Allison noted that regions like Rocky Mount face significant economic challenges ahead, as enhanced subsidies for Affordable Care Act plans—available for the past five years—are expected to expire in the coming year.

They didn’t fuck around when they voted for a sadistic psychopath…they voted for Trump because he was/is a vengeful racist piece of shit and they were never going to “allow” another person of color to occupy the Oval Office…they assumed because they were Trump’s people and shared the same hatred for “the other” he would protect them from the devastation he was about to unleash..

And because karma is a bitch, they are now living in the FO world of voting for a pathological liar/a cruel crude amoral mush-brained sub-human malignant narcissist .. thoughts and prayers..

That makes the fact that few bothered to show up even worse. No one's buying his bullshit anymore. Seems we've gone beyond what cognitive dissonance can handle. That kind of happens when they're having trouble putting food on the table and keeping a roof over their heads.....and it's only going to get worse for them.

We've been to Rocky Mount once when we took a drive to go look at some antique furniture. Someone turned in front of us causing a crash that totaled our Subie. No one seriously injured, but I haven't had a favorable view of Rocky Mount since.

Somewhere in the Piedmont would have made better sense. Hickory, Statesville, Morganton areas are extremely red, but he may have failed even there. Donnie was supposed to ride in and make everything better there overnight. He didn't. He made it worse and they can't look past that anymore.

I was in Rocky Mount about a year and a half ago for a baseball tournament. It's not huge, but it's big enough and near enough to fill a rally. If it was a small crowd then it's not because the town is small.

Granted, it's like being the manager for an aging ventriloquist that hasn't changed a word of their act in years except for forgetting half of the punch lines, but it is a little stunning that people wouldn't even turn out for a free event with Orange Jesus.

The area is only 28% white, but it is only 58 miles east of Raleigh, the state capital. You'd think he'd be a draw even as uninteresting as he's become.

Hopefully it means even MAGA-heads aren't buying his crap anymore now that their eyes have been partially opened by the Epstein fiasco.

But there will be bigger rallies coming. The corporate donors will see to that or suffer the consequences.

But to Susie's credit, she's not trying to hide much from us other than the real reason for the dark spot on his hand and his sleepy spells. That's some serious Kool-Aid you're drinking Susie.

They insist on showing tight shots with a handpicked dozen or so smirking people with manufactured signs that imply a big crowd. Never show the venue or the total number of people there. Play his insane babble without fact checking. Just like they did during the 2024 election.

"the president also used the late-night stage time to brush off some of his greatest hits during the 90-minute address: He called former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton “nasty,” saying he was tempted to refer to her as “the b-word” and “wouldn’t want to go home to her.”

He railed against a 2022 raid by federal authorities at his Mar-a-Lago home, alleging that agents went through his wife Melania’s “panties” and joking about how she stores her undergarments. And he riled up the crowd with cheers as he criticized Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minnesota): “Get her the hell out of our country.”
