(9,071 posts)MY answer to that is that if I leave, who's going to stand up for the people this shithead is demeaning?
He's a white supremacist in a nation that was built by slave, and then immigrant labor. Each wave of refugees has their own unique story, and each wave has the right to be here and work to make America the greatest nation on earth.
And while we're at it, the ones with the most "right to be here" are the ones who came over in waves thousands of years before Columbus.
The ones with the second most "right to be here" are the ones who were dragged here in chains; taken by force from their own lands to work for these white folks who think this is their country.
No, this great nation belongs to all of us. Our ancestors endured great hardship to come here and make a new life. The actuality of it is that there are only Americans. We are all races, colors, creeds, societies, economic and cultural classes. There is no place else on earth where diversity has so much going for it as in the United States of America. To have a bunch of racist shitheads decide this is their nation, and theirs alone tells me they are the ones who should leave, because they never really understood what it is to be an American.
I'm an old white guy who watch this nation struggle through the 50's, 60's and 70's to gain equality for all peoples and genders. I'm not about to let all the gains we made go away because some white people don't want to share the life this nation offers with everyone who comes here.
