Not sure if anyone posted this for the anniversary, but it's been a full decade since the Christmas doormat buzzard!

Wow, December 6, 2015. Quite possibly the most legendary DU thread of all-time. Enjoy!

Could my neighbors be in federal trouble?

My wife and I dealing with the two down stairs from our condo. Right inside the security door which is used for all 4 apatments there is a mat reading Merry Christmas. My Wife would have been fine with Season Greetings or Happy Holidays. My wife has left letters explaining her objections. But those have been rip down and the mat remains.

Today my wife received a package from amazon of stuff she ordered ON the package was written Merry Christmas and Christmas underline. We found the package on the steps to the condo. In order for the mailman to get in the buzzard needs rung or you need a key.

If one of these neighbors wrote this on my wife's package did they deface postal property? Can they be in trouble?/excerpt]

Maybe 2005, I can't remember the exact year. I remember being on a random board and someone suggested DU. Best board I ever joined.

My therapist and I have had lengthy discussions about my intrusive ‘door buzzard’ thoughts. Along with my package-scribbling obsession

I scrolled down the replies, and dropped in to see the full comments at various points.

I bookmarked it because I missed the transition of comments from the door buzzer to a buzzard. 😄 Have to look at it again.

Fun puns, and snark! One of my favorite sets were these two.....
Hmmm .. I copied but not pasting.
I'll try again...but it was "how much" the feds, and the girl scouts would "care". 😄

Thanks, Polybius!

Long time members who I recalled but haven’t seen here in awhile, when I looked at their profiles, it shows that they haven’t posted in a long time. Their last post doesn’t give a clue as to why they left. One is still a star member but he hasn’t made a post since 2017.

Other familiar names have been FFRd or PPRd.

We aren’t young anymore and for a long time member with many thousands of posts to suddenly just stop posting makes me think that they met a sudden end. Their last post and the ones before that, that I was able to find via advanced searching, don’t give any hint that something was amiss.

While I like to read old threads once in awhile, it does make me a little sad as I spot familiar names who I haven’t seen in awhile. I look at their profile and a number of them had been tombstoned, ppr’d or ffr’d . Then there are those who just vanished. It’d bring some sense of closure if we could find out what happened.
