KENNEDY CENTER HONORS ratings. BIGGEST YUGEST RATING in the history of ratings, centers, and civilization in general.

I'm guessing that at a time when America is overdosing on Trump's daily bullshit, "WELCOMING HIM AS AN EMCEE" is not at the top of everyone's list.

I've seen reports that the ratings were crap, as well as reports spinning THOSE reports.

I'm gonna go with the "ratings were crap" reports.

I can’t copy and paste from Raw Story.

From AI

The 2025 Kennedy Center Honors aired on December 23rd on CBS, drawing around 3 million viewers, potentially marking its lowest ratings ever, a significant drop from previous years, though some outlets reported it was only down about 9% from 2024, with viewership hovering around 4.1 million. Despite fluctuating numbers and discussions about its overall appeal, it celebrated honorees like George Strait, Gloria Gaynor, Kiss, Michael Crawford, and Sylvester Stallone, with some sources suggesting a potential boost due to President Trump hosting.

Guessing the majority that watched (at least, of the crowd that would typically watch), it was to see Michael Crawford

He’s got a huge audience.

A guy turned me on to him when I was in the Army. Good songs, nice smooth voice, very crisp sound.

Just that I'd imagine of the crowd that watches it year-over-year, Crawford would've likely been the main attraction to watching this year.

Strait's not really my preferred style, but I respect his accomplishments, he has many good songs (that I'd probably never play on purpose lol)

9. George is much "bigger" than the public's general take on "country singers."

I'm pretty well versed in Country Music. It was the first music I heard as a kid, in my parents' house. My mother played ALL of the Grand Ol Opry artists. So I am pretty adept at separating the real deal from the posers, and George is the real deal.

An album came out last year, "Petty Country: A Tribute to Tom Petty." As the name implies, it was a lot of A-list country stars like Marty Stuart and Chris Stapleton, doing Petty covers. It included George doing a live version of "You Wreck Me" that was all KINDS of wonderful. And, I'm a big Petty fan, so I wouldn't sit still for weak covers of his song. The whole album shines, and that includes George.

Please also welcome Dean Cain, who was arguably the greatest Superman of all time, because he wasn't woke.

And also on the stage, Patricia Heaton from Everybody Loves Raymond. She hasn't gotten much work since the series ended because liberal woke Hollywood is not welcoming when it comes to true MAGA patriots.

Let's give them all a big hand, shall we?

13. CBS Cut Down Trump's Kennedy Center Remarks to Two Minutes, Didn't Use New Name

President Donald Trump’s opening monologue for the Kennedy Center Honors was apparently deemed too long by CBS, which cut his remarks down by 10 full minutes.

According to The Washington Post, “The televised broadcast presented a pared-down version of Trump’s opening remarks, cutting his introduction from about 12 minutes live to two minutes for viewers at home — and leaving out several of his looser jokes, including a reference to the laughing audience as ‘miserable, horrible people.'”

'Smallest audience ever': Kennedy Center Honors tank on CBS after Trump takes over

According to preliminary Nielsen data, 'The Kennedy Center Honors' on CBS drew its smallest audience ever on the night of December 23, 2025, averaging an estimated 2.65 million viewers, Programming Insider reported on Wednesday. "To put that in perspective: the 2024 broadcast averaged 4.1 million."
