My take is the Ds finally got enough votes together - in concert with a very slim number of, (for once!, and oh so rare!) disaffected Rs - to actually have some ability to effect ... And they used it - with some deftness - to what advantage they judged could be wrought.

There obviously some different opinions out there - but I think I would tag this as a fairly rare win - and in so doing, pretty decent bit of statecraft on the part of Senate Democrats.

Sadly, ICE won't be going anywhere and neither will Noem unless Trump tires of her the way he did Bovino.

Instead of blaming Democrats for something completely out of their control, this should be a teaching moment for why Republicans should never be given control of our government again. Even though you think people would have already learned this after the first Trump administration...
