Queen guitarist Brian May doesn’t see his legendary band playing any US shows in the near future, declaring that “America is a dangerous place at the moment.”

As it is, the iconic UK band, which has performed under the moniker Queen + Adam Lambert since 2011, hasn’t played a show in nearly two years, with their most recent concert a February 2024 gig in Tokyo. The 78-year-old May hasn’t ruled out further Queen concerts but insists, as of now, they won’t be in the United States.

“America is a dangerous place at the moment, so you have to take that into account,” the guitarist told the Daily Mail. “It’s very sad because I feel like Queen grew up in America and we love it, but it’s not what it was.

Everyone is thinking twice about going there at the moment.”
