tonight in chicago --

The rally has taken the street, heading east toward Lake Michigan. The marchers are carrying a huge banner that reads,

"Defend Democracy
It's time for a general strike!"

The call goes out again for a strike - the column shouts back,

"strike, strike, strike, strike!"

The march has turned north onto Michigan Ave and is headed toward the Chicago riverfront.

It's below freezing out and snowing.

The march is now passing by Trump Tower in Chicago, which sits north across the river.

I want everyone to appreciate how cold out it is: the river surface is frozen over.

The march in Chicago has continued on past Trump Tower and is turning back south into downtown.

The snow is coming down hard now.

As it does, the column chants, "say it once and say it twice, we do not fuck with ICE"

It's near-white out conditions in Chicago as the snow comes down, and tonight's anti-ICE/CBP rally is wrapping up in front of city hall.

But not before the crowd bounces and chants, "I believe that we will win!"

Meaning it could be near white out at times. But it is pretty. And the protesters are a pretty sight.
