I look at it this way.

I NEVER want America to lose.

That said, we have a 79 year old toddler in the White House who writes "DONNY ROCKS!" on the walls with his own poop.

What I WANTED...obviously past tense...was for America to NOT GET INTO ANOTHER WAR IN THE MIDDLE EAST.

And the issue is that Trump wasn't prepared, did an end run around Congress, thought he was playing a video game or something, and here we are.

I don't want America to lose.

I want Trump and his goons to GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER, and SOON, and GET THE FUCK out of Iran before ANY MORE AMERICAN LIVES are LOST.

THAT'S what I "want."

And being old enough to remember that, YES...America DID "rally around" Bush, despite the people who really didn't like him or didn't vote for him.

And not long after that, he squandered it all by chasing Chaney's dream of sweet, sweet Iraqi oil.

But Trump's woes were self-inflicted, "APPLES AND ORANGES" when it comes to the subject of a catastrophic, unprovoked act of aggression that took 3000+ lives versus a 79 year old impulsive toddler doing what Trump did, and I'd say yes...anyone outside of the cult pretty much wants what you've named.
