However , there have been numerous special elections which Republicans won.

But, even in most of those special elections where Republicans kept their seats, Democrats over performed significantly vs the previous elections in those districts and Trump's preformance in 2024.

It's not special elections where the party that held the open seat kept it. That's why the only PA seat ion the list is a state senate seat Dems flipped in Lancaster county area.
