Trump Posts Meme of Top Democrats in Sombreros

The White House on Tuesday re-upped a social media insult depicting top Democrats in sombreros as a way to suggest they are soft on immigration.

The fake image of Representative Hakeem Jeffries of New York and Senator Chuck Schumer of New York was captioned: “Happy Cinco de Mayo to all who celebrate!”

The posting was a reprisal of one that President Trump, who has often used racist attacks against his political opponents, posted in September and which was widely condemned as racist. That post was designed to goad Democratic leaders during negotiations over a government shutdown, and falsely accused them of trying to give free health care to undocumented immigrants.

On Tuesday, Mr. Schumer and Mr. Jeffries hit back with a meme of their own, posting a chummy image of President Trump and Jeffrey Epstein, also with sombreros superimposed on their heads.

Racist in chief.

And yet, 50% of Latino men voted for that.

I honestly don't understand why men, even men of color, keep supporting one of the most unmanly individuals I've ever seen. Women have encountered men like Trump throughout their lives, minus the money of course. Women see through all that fake machismo and the ridiculous pick-up lines that go with it.

So what is it that men see? He is out of shape, wears makeup, dyes his hair, doesn't get any exercise, and basically is pretty wimpy except for his big mouth. I remember being amazed how many male voters thought GW Bush was a man's man. That was pretty bad, but not nearly as bad as Trump.

I don't know, the older I get, the more I realize that I just don't understand most men all that well.

Most guys I knew were supporting him. I said, he's fat, sloppy, and dumber than shit, but at least he's loud! And I really think they identified with that.

It still blows my mind. I remember my ex husband pointing out fake macho men to me, often people like Trump. I really thought that most men picked up on phonies like him, I am really disappointed.

Of course, perhaps the problem was many men really couldn't bring themselves to vote for a woman and that is even more disappointing. I thought we'd come so far, but apparently a lot of guys fell behind.

I've done my part. I raised a super man who is raising two extraordinary boys. That is where we really need to begin - the way we raise our boys.

was famously considered somebody you would "want to have a beer with" and he generally did seem like a pretty congenial person, albeit dumb and incurious and had bad policies. I don't know, however, what of value anybody possibly sees in Trump.

pretty much sums up GW. As an individual, I suppose people could find him pleasant company, but as a president he was incompetent and obsessed with his many daddy issues.

Meanwhile, there were the people from "Project for a New American Century" who used Bush's vulnerabilities to push through their Middle East agendas. You know, the man could have had a much happier life if he'd just stayed out of politics.

As for Trump, I don't think anything ever could make him happy. He's reached the pinnacle of success and he's miserable. The more miserable he becomes, the more he doubles down on the actions and behavior that make him miserable. Meanwhile, the rest of the world has to pay the price for the man's many psychological issues. How much must the world suffer because one small man didn't get therapy when he was young?

Mike Johnson: "I hope voters remember this in the fall. You've gotta keep the grownups in charge, and that's the Republicans."
