Wish we had solar panels. Too many expenses to add them when the deals were good.

(1,363 posts)Trump is the catalyst which shows all of our systems are failing. Our checks and balances, our courts, the media... None have been able to keep this fascist out of office or put up a roadblock against his dismantling of due process, rule of law or the economy.
And finally, a significant percentage of Americans have shown how little they care for our democracy and how willing they are to fall for a con man's lies.

(8,127 posts)By going back to the days when average people couldn't afford to buy and run cars, when public transport was acceptable, riding a pushbike was ok if you lived close to work, and a man with a horsedrawn float would come around twice a week to sell you fresh vegetables, milk, whatever.
The good old days when posties were fit because they delivered the mail on pushbikes.
But forget those online shops that send you things in big boxes.
Anyway, no one will be able to afford the internet.
Welcome to the future, a rerun of your grandparents' past!

But true, the full effect of the Bad Things Trump did haven't been felt yet.
