That was W's approval when he left office. He did have a lower approval rating in 2008 before rebounding. Nixon had an even lower approval right before resigning. W also had the highest approval, right after 9/11.

The aftermath of lying us into a second forever war was two Obama terms and a GOP so damaged that Donald got the Republican nomination in 2016. The grifter POTUS has literally never had approval at 50%. Not once. I once thought a satirical protest candidate would have a better chance to be elected than the tangerine toddler. The joke was on sane Americans everywhere.

While there are difference in results from different pollsters, If you follow the polls from the same outlets, in each successive poll his numbers decline.

He is pro-grift, pro-bribery and pro-fraud, including tax fraud. He cuts taxes and IRS staffing. He appeals to the pro-authoritarian and the pro-theocracy crowd. Much of MAGA, especially the evangelicals, are also on board for the bigotry and misogyny.

questions that SHOULD be asked in a popularity or performance poll

...Yes/No/Somewhat: Is TSF so diminished by personal, mental, health, and emotional limitations that he cannot effectively perform the duties of the office on behalf of its citizens?

...Yes/No/Somewhat: Do you fear that TSF often acts recklessly, irrationally, and ignorantly regarding important national issues?

...Yes/No/Somewhat: Do you believe that TSF often appears to be very interested in the aggrandizement and enrichment of himself, his family, and his allies?

...Yes/No/Somewhat: Do you believe that TSF understands, respects, and treats equally those who are of a different skin color or gender as he is?

...Yes/No/Somewhat: Do you believe that TSF knows that he frequently lies and that uses his lies craftily and with political purpose, as opposed to lying while deluded, confused, disconnected, or ignorant?

...Yes/No/Somewhat: Do you believe that whining, cheating, lying, grifting, prideful illiteracy, failure, arrogance, and bragging are useful character traits for a potus?

Why do we not see questions like this, when they are of the utmost importance with respect to an office with so much power and potential for danger? some of the job performance results may reflect that people can see TSFs disorders daily.

30 percent represents the Trump hard core: Cult members and blind partisan Republican hacks who will forever support and defend Trump.

It likely won’t go much lower.
