Lets say an alien space ship visted

Lets say an alien space ship visited our planet next year...Lets say it was 50 miles in diameter holding upwards of 25 million aliens. A power source of this ship was a white dwarf star of .5 miles diameter. These aliens were millions of years more advance then us and had an avg iq of 800. These aliens also merged with a.i early in their histories....They come in complete peace and wish to live with us and will share their tech and knowledge.

Would you approve of this?

Why would a civilization with an average IQ of 800, and millions of years more advanced than we are want to live with US?

I would think that such a civilization, once they got a good look at us, would quickly steer their vessel to the other side of the galaxy.

and they will upload a few cows and humans, and the humans will get anal probes.

Eventually, the people will come back with sore butts, and no memory of how it happened.

Close Encounters meets Independence Day. A rainy Sunday in front of the DVD is what that sounds like!

We don't get South Park here in Germany. I have never seen an episode.

What does this mean?

Astronomers may have discovered the smallest and heaviest white dwarf star ever seen, a smoldering ember about the size of our moon but 450,000 times more massive than Earth, a new study finds.

White dwarfs are usually about the size of Earth and are the cool, dim cores of dead stars that are left behind after average-size stars have exhausted their fuel and shed their outer layers. Our sun will one day become a white dwarf, as will about 97% of all stars.

Even if you could carve off a bit of a white dwarf to be 0.5 miles in diameter, I don't think it would stay a white dwarf - the interaction between gravity and other forces would fundamentally change its structure, density and temperature.

Sounds like a dream come true, although we may be incapable of learning if their average iq is 800. Think about an incredibly intelligent human with an iq of 200 trying to teach someone with an iq of 150. They wouldn't comprehend it.

Now imagine 800 trying to teach 115 or so. Probably impossible.

11. Aliens foolish enough to merge with AI wouldn't have a high IQ, let alone an average IQ of 800. Aliens

who'd pack 25 million of their "people" into a single vehicle of any type, unless it's the only way they could survive, would be looking to take over another planet and exploit it after overpopulating other planets.

It would be crazy to welcome supposedly benign overlords arriving with a force of 25 million and with what would be an AI hive mind IF they'd been stupid enough to want to merge with AI.

I've occasionally joked here about wishing aliens would come collect Trump and some others in this disastrous regime for alien zoos, to be examples of especially harmful, dysfunctional humans. But alien civilizations looking at us would probably guess there were too many like Trump and his enablers on Earth to be able to help us deal with them.

We aren't going to be saved by benevolent aliens. And we sure as hell aren't going to be saved by artificial intelligence, whether developed by humans or aliens.

We have to save ourselves. And at the moment the AI industry, especially the part focused on generative AI, is peddling the most harmful non-weapon tech we've ever seen, and not caring at all about how much it dumbs users down and harms the environment of the only planet we have.

We broke this world and we need to fix it. Unfortunately, those who are wealthy enough to help are the same ones who have been burying us for millennia.

I can't see any other reason a super-intelligent civilization would have anything to do with us right now, (You knew someone would have "To Serve Man" flashbacks at this point, I'm sure. )

If your visitors are sincere, meaning do they genuinely want to advance the state of humanity, helping people overcome the challenges of our times, and enlighten human consciousness cosmically, yes. I might even go along with the agenda. If they’re “good people,” wherein they treat us as “equals,” they’ll give us the choice.

If not, and they’re here to mess with our minds, or as JD Vance may fear, our souls, and use humanity like one of the wasps who drop their eggs inside victim hosts to incubate a new generation; or to grab our resources or to conquer our planet, no. I’ll fight the invaders with everything I got and most everyone I know to oppose them.

No matter how benevolent they prove themselves to be, I’m thinking it’s the latter. Either way, Jaques Vallee fears we may get the visitors we deserve.
