How's your shrinkflation going?

By my calculation the name brand ice cream I buy is about 2% underfilled compared to last year, before they dropped the price. So we may be paying 36 cents less, but we're also giving some of that back in volume. Time was the container was filled to the brim when opened. Now it's only filled in the middle, and around the sides it is 5/8" below the brim.

Be interesting to see what retailers do with pricing of ice cream in the summer. Time was, recently, where they raised the price in hot weather because there's more demand and refrigeration costs are higher (I think).

I guess I'm going to start buying box cake mixes and such. These have gone up in price too but still cheaper...

They should change the name; by the size now they should be called Molehill Bars.

Now, they're merely "3 pints" with rare exceptions.
