Active shooter reported near Jewish sites in Montreal, Canada, at least one police officer injured

Montreal police (SPVM) are at the scene of an ongoing shooting attack in the Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood of the city.

The shooting occured adjacent to Jewish instiutions in the Canadian city, according to reports.

At around 11:30 a.m. Canada time, the SPVM posted an imminent threat alert that an armed and dangerous suspect is in the CDN sector.

SPVM encouraged anyone in the area to shelter indoors and lock the door.

A Montreal police officer (SPVM) was killed, and others were wounded in a shooting attack in the Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood of Montreal, Canada, on Monday. According to local reports, the target was Jewish businesses.

At least two police officers and one civilian were injured, and the operation is ongoing; however one suspect is confirmed neutralized. One policeman was later confirmed to have died.

Videos from the scene show two bodies on the floor. The gunmen, seemingly Caucasian, can be seen facedown wearing camouflage, and a rifle (seemingly an SKS) is also visible on the floor nearby.

Moishe Blech, a ZAKA volunteer who is near the scene, said there is a report of hostages being held inside the scene, but this is not yet confirmed.

I can't tell if that last sentence is left over from earlier, or they're saying they think more than one gunman could be involved.
