While White People Are NOT a Minority in the USA,

They only make up about 55-6% of the population nationwide, though. In some states, they are a distinct minority, though. For Christian Nationalists, that is beyond frightening, so they're desperate to avoid a US non-white majority. They're panicked, to put it mildly.

And that's at the core of much of what is going on in the MAGA world. They want to Make America White Again, really: MAWA. They don't say that, exactly, but that's exactly their goal.

They will not succeed in achieving that goal, however. The die is cast. Before long, what they fear will become reality. It's inevitable. See this link to learn more about the distribution of white majorities in US states. Compare those states with the states that are considered to be Red. You'll see the connection.

The push toward eliminating birthright citizenship is about this and only about this.

But we're different from white supremacists. We aren't driven by fear. We aren't driven by greed. We don't view other people as competitors.

You and I and the white people like us realize that when everybody is better off, we're better off too. We realize that a healthy and happy world is a safer world. We realize that people are fundamentally the same, that racial stereotypes are wrong, and that diverse communities are strong communities.

We're up against people who have allowed their emotions and vices to rule their behavior and thinking. Unfortunately a bunch of them are billionaires now and they've bought the politicians and the news media and the social networking platforms.

different. Never realized it until I grew up. In our small town Blacks and whites shopped at the same grocery where my white grandmother worked as a cashier. She knew every Black family in town. We made regular trips to their homes to deliver food or clothing if they needed it. And God help anyone who used the "n" word around my mother or grandmother.

Don't get me wrong, there was segregation. Once, when I was very young, I asked my mom why one of the store's water fountains was marked "colored" when it wasn't a color at all -- it was white just like the other fountain. My mother replied, "Because some people are just ignorant."

a/k/a Stephen Miller, are based entirely on notions of white nationalism, which is the next step after white supremacy. White supremacists believe white people are superior to non-white people in all respects and should be in charge of everything. Non-white people are tolerated as long as they "know their place" and don't get too uppity, but they shouldn't expect any of that woke DEI stuff that might help them improve their lot in society. White nationalists go further - they want to eliminate non-white people from the US altogether, which perfectly explains Miller's deportation quotas. Those quotas could not be met by deporting only the dangerous criminals because there weren't enough of them. So they just started rounding up anybody who wasn't white, abducting them from bus stops and workplaces regardless of their immigration status, and taking them into ICE custody - something we saw first-hand here in Minneapolis this winter (and it's still going on in the suburbs and smaller cities). Anyone who looked "foreign" - that is, Hispanic or Asian or Somali - was and is a target. Tiny Nazi Greg Bovino announced that the goal is to deport 100 million people, almost a third of the total population, and a number that accounts for almost all of the non-white immigrants plus a fair number of citizens. It's ethnic cleansing with the intent of creating a 100% white society, or at least an apartheid society. Eliminating birthright citizenship is definitely part of the plan.

Wed Jul 1, 2026, 10:46 AM

Over the past 100 years there has been a great increase in global health and wellbeing. A lot of this is due to vaccines. And medical research. And humanitarian public health efforts.

As a result, many Black and brown people across the world are doing ok. Their standard of living is better. They send their children to schools and those children become doctors and engineers and scientists and business people. A global middle class is rising up all over the world.

The world's wealth and privilege is no longer exclusively in the hands of white elites in Europe and America.

And that is freaking out some of the white elites.

It's no accident that the billionaires who put Trump in power immediately went after vaccines, medical research, and USAID.

It's already happening with younger generations. I'm a 77 year old white woman and I spent my last ten years of my career working at post-secondary schools where students worked for me. I got to know so many of them and heard their opinions, stories about their everyday lives, etc. and I saw that the white people did not have the same attitude of privilege that prior generations had. Diversity is just a part of their lives and their relationships, and they don't really think much about it. Yes, there will always be some - MAGA for instance - that don't evolve or have any notion of self-reflection. People like that WILL be the minority if they aren't already. The truth is, we are never going back to the 1950's which is what they think can happen. We always move forward eventually. This period in our history is just a blip. You and I won't live to see it unfortunately, but I take great pleasure in witnessing the changes that have already happened in our lifetimes.

We can always adapt religions to suit our own desires, and we commonly do just that. The Bible, for example, also written by human beings, is a very large book. One can find almost anything in it and apply it to society. "It's in the Bible!"

Other religions have the same thing in their scriptures. It's all in there. Whatever humans do is in the scriptures. One way or another,, scripture is adapted to the whims of humans.

Human society and its religions are complex things. From complexity, one can support pretty much any argument.

I'm a white male boomer, born in 1951. When I was a kid, I turned on the TV and saw almost exclusively white people, in the shows and commercials. When I went to the movies, they were cast with mostly white people. When I read magazines, they were mostly about white people. When I turned on the radio, most of the singers were white. On the rare occasions I saw people of color, I was fascinated. Who were these folks? Why were they treated so different? I never could understand it.

I've been blessed to live in an age where all that has changed dramatically. Gradually, I began seeing black and brown people more in the media, on the street, in the stores, in school. I fell in love with black music on the radio. My best friend was Japanese-American, my next door neighbor was Mexican-American, my aunt's boyfriend was Black. All of this was wonderful. I felt like Dorothy emerging from a monochrome world into an Oz-like paradise of color and incredible diversity.

Who in their right mind would want to give that up? How can anyone feel threatened by the full spectrum of beauty the world has to offer? Going back to an all-white world would be like putting on blinders and blocking out most of what makes life worth living.

don't came at me - I've lived here over 20 years now and have observed the White Nationals in person. There are 30 million people here now - 2nd only to Cali

Let's look at census (I just pulled out the biggest categories): numbers are (2000) (2010) (2020)

White alone (10,933,313) (11,397,345) (11,584,597)
Black or African American alone (2,364,255) (2,886,825) (3,444,712)
Asian alone (554,445) (948,426) (1,561,518)
Hispanic or Latino (6,669,666) (9,460,921) (11,441,717)

Whites are holding steady, but blacks, asians, and latinos are growing faster. This scares the crap out of the good ole boys & gals (esp. in rural areas). Imo, the Latinos that are freaking them out. It is crazy for them to over-react because many Latinos actually are Catholic and religious - many are anti-abortion. But, no, they freaked out and decided they were going to deport as many black & brown people as they could. It's insane, but that's Greg Abbott.
