Donald Trump to present World Cup trophy to winners, says Gianni Infantino

Source: The Guardian

Donald Trump is set to hand over the World Cup trophy to the winners at the final on 19 July, Gianni Infantino has said.

Infantino and Trump have forged a close relationship in the build-up to these finals, but the US president has barely talked about the tournament since it began on 11 June, and is yet to attend a match.
Maybe this World Cup will bring the best out of the US, not the worst

However, the Fifa president confirmed in an interview with Fox and Friends that the plan is for Trump to play a starring role in the trophy presentation ceremony at the New York New Jersey Stadium, just as he did at last year’s Club World Cup final at the same venue, then called by its usual name, the MetLife Stadium.

“We will be together with the president enjoying the final and handing the trophy to the winner, of course,” Infantino said.

So far he's been doing a bang up job at distracting from the tRump-Epstein Files. Everything else he's done has turned to shit, but the tRump-Epstein Files aren't in the news anymore.

I'm fine with them shoving Infantino out of the way, too.

It would be best if an adversarial nation won the whole thing if he is involved at all. Can you imagine him giving the trophy to Iran, for example? (As I don't know who is left, I'm just imagining the craziest scenario).

The winning team will, very publicly, throw the cup in the trash where it belongs until the next world cup whose nation is more closer to the greater good.

What if it's an England Vs Spain final?

Imagine half the stadium chanting "He's fat, he's got piles ... He's in the Epstein Files... Trump the c***"

Would DJT risk a crowd like that?
