And the flip side to that is pretty neat.

If there are drones buzzing a military base--remember the outrage that there was no solution to this when bases were being buzzed?--there's a solution that doesn't involve scrambling jets or firing surface-to-air missiles.

I'd also hope that these are part of some sort of real-life tests and that they have quick recharging or multiple-target capacity.

I'd assume Ukraine is busily finding a way that may not be laser impervious but will locate and take out Russian anti-drone lasers when they're more widespread.
