A big part of that was because there was a shortage of masks

and Fauci didn't want people to grab what was available and leave first responders more vulnerable.

Of course, had the orange octopus made it a priority early on--in December and January when he was already being warned--to produce more masks and PPE--this wouldn't have been such an issue.
