I love seasoned ground beef/turkey/chicken crunchy tacos. I always use Old El Paso stand and stuff shells with the square bottom (which is really convenient), and they do a pretty good job of not crumbling on me. Also helpful is if you line the bottom of the shell with some shredded cheese, then gently warm them so the cheese melts along the bottom. This gives 'em some added structural integrity because it helps stop grease from the meat soaking into the bottom of the shell and weakening it when you later add the meat and other stuff.

However, any kind of grilled meat I'll make soft tacos with.

And now you've made me hungry

Variety is, after all, one of life’s spices. Yes, the hard shells can crumble but the crunch is special. The soft tacos are less messy but the different texture makes them almost a different dish.

Curiously, when I order fajitas I rarely use more than one of the “pancakes” but enjoy the meat and vegetables with a knife and fork. Please just bring more salsa.

Buenos tardes!

oven no more than five minutes, just enough to make the cheese melty, they don't crumble so bad.
The taco truck in town makes boffo soft tacos!
I'll overeat any of them. Tacos and spaghetti (not together), are my favorite foods!
Although right now I'm jonesing for another fave, catfish.

I never used hard shells.
I put a light fry on soft shell to add a little crunch, but the tortilla is still soft and chewy.
If all I had was hard shells, I'd break them up and create a taco salad with crunchy chips in it.
But, I'd never make an actual taco out of them.

If my dentures are in, I love hard shell tacos with sour cream, because they break into pieces.
It makes for a mini taco salad once I'm done biting lol.
Otherwise, it's softshell all the way lol.
