one that's widely known?
One of my very favorites is, The Family Man, with Nicholas Cage and Tea Leoni. I'm watching it now.
I had to cancel my Christmas plans because we're supposed to have some really bad weather and flooding here in SoCal.

(502 posts)London decides to enlist fellow commuters(who basically never interact) to join him in having a Christmas party together. It has many poignant moments. I found it on Prime Video and it has become a favorite. Stay safe, be well and happy viewing!😊🎄

(1,061 posts)I wouldn't call it a "beloved" Christmas movie but I enjoy it.
From IMDB
Every winter, Michael J. O'Connor, the second richest man in the world, vacates his 5th Avenue mansion for his winter home in warmer climes. Every winter, Aloysius T. McKeever, a homeless man, moves into the vacated mansion. This particular winter, McKeever meets Jim Bullock, an army veteran who has recently been evicted from his apartment and offers to share the mansion with him. It's not long before the mansion has a few more guests, including two of Jim's army buddies and their wives and children; runaway heiress Trudy Connor; her mother, and even Michael J. O'Connor, himself.

(11,384 posts)I would first like to say that movies that are not widely known are subjective to each individual and what each individuals generation is.
I'm not familiar with the movie It Happened on 5th Avenue because that's not my generation. I can't even find the movie Five Easy Pieces which is frustrating.
Here's a few Christmas movies that hopefully fit the bill as not widely known.
Christmas For A Dollar (2013) Brian Krause, Nancy Stafford
The Walton's Homecoming (1971) Patricia Neal and Andrew Duggan. I like Michael Learned and Ralph Waite much better as Olivia and John Walton.

Prancer (1989) Sam Elliott

Not technically a Christmas movie but I would like to mention the movie Simon Birch because this Christmas Pageant scene cracks me up every single time.

(873 posts)Yes, it's a Christmas horror movie, but it is ultimately heartwarming.

It's in Finnish, so I hope you're okay with subtitles. This is a movie about the real Santa Claus, who is a lot scarier than the Coca-Cola Santa. It's also about a lonely little boy whose single-parent father is a bit out of his depth. It shouldn't be dismissed as just another horror movie; it has depth.
