(5,524 posts)There were maybe five people in the theater, sci-fi was not big in Amarillo. Within a week the news was full of the long lines and sold out screenings in NYC, LA, and Chicago, and soon it was sold out in Amarillo too.

(16,343 posts)I remember a story Harrison Ford told about Mark long days ago. They were getting ready to shoot a scene and Mark asked if his hair looked OK. Harrison told him "kid if all the audience is looking at is your hair, we've got much bigger problems!"

My wife's grandfather was a set builder and worked with Harrison. Last time he saw him he said he was "off to do some space movie", little did he know.
