The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsMy sister and I were talking about NDEs the other day. Curious to hear other opinions.
My sister has read up on them more than I have.
They seem to fall into two broad categories:
1. The "go to the light" which often culminates with someone telling them "it's not your time, you need to go back."
2. The "download"where all of a sudden everything is seen as connected and everything thing is known and understood, but when the NDE is over, only the feeling and blurred memory remains, but none of the knowledge or insight. Or at least, very little.
I have a dear friend that died on the operating table that experienced the type 2.
Type one seems to end with a loved one, or "Jesus" or some other religious figure. But beyond that, the most common person seen is Elvis!!
I told my sister that when I die, I hope to be greeted by Fred Rogers.
He's the person that I would believe if he met me to say that everything was going to be OK.
On edit: typo!
