...I had to go provide some technical assistance to a mid-size customer with a plant in Akron.
All industry around there, so I thought things were happening.
Then, I left for lunch with a couple of their engineers and as we moved toward downtown there was no there, there.
Dozens of close up businesses, vacant lots....
I don't know the area that well, but I was surprised.

... the baseball stadium. The only three businesses that remain is Luigi's Pizza (which was the inspiration for Montoni's Pizza in the old Funky Winkerbean comic strip), the Paramount Theater, and the Nut Shop.
