1. Fun Story About This Tune

The cousin who grew up in my parents' home was a huge Chicago fan, from way back.
As we were close to the same age, I knew all their songs even though I was not a big fan.
The woman he married loved the band too.
Anyway, when their kids got older, they finally found time to come & see my band at a club closer to their town than where we live.
When they showed up, the guitar player & I sat down for a couple minutes & decided on the changes.
Then, we showed the bass player. The drummer knew the tune well enough by ear that he was good.
Everyone had a sense of which harmony part to take, so...
...near the end of the first set, we played it for the first time ever.
I dedicated it to them & off we went.
During the break, we had fans that saw us 6 or 7 times a year tell us we should always do that song.
I had a good layer of brass sound dialed in on keys.
Fun to do, but we never did it again.
