Since around 1998, a wah is the only pedal I've ever used.
I've got reverb/delay rackmounted, but chorus, flange, boost, compression,... all gone.
But, I have to hear the way.
One of the early songs with great subtle wah work that hooked me was this oone:

I was for tour of the album after Bridge Of Sighs. I think that was For Earth Below.
Awfully good. Jimmy Dewar was a GREAT singer, just as good live as on record.
Robin was the first of the Hendrix disciples that took that approach to the next level.
