(10,924 posts)Boy do I really love that sunflower pick!
Thank you as always.

(155,538 posts)As soon as I saw that sunflower, I realized the drama inherent in the way the sun played over it. It was an easy catch!
I had fun.

(15,273 posts)I would have definitely bought that stepping stone.
And as always, your photos are wonderful!
CaliforniaPeggy
(155,538 posts)It's a pretty big one now, and crowded every week! So much variety.
The stepping stone is actually a large part of a mural on a wall near the Market. It celebrates an organization that supports our Manhattan Beach schools. I have a photo that shows the whole thing; if I have time later, I'll find it and post it so you can see.
Glad you enjoyed!

(38,928 posts)I also love the flowers against the white wall that seems to divide the frame into two separate images. Very striking catch!

(155,538 posts)As soon as I saw that sunflower, I knew I had to capture that light!
The flowers against the white wall are growing in planters that rim the ramp I take to get to the Market. I need that for my walker! I've been watching the flowers get ready to bloom. The divided image did work pretty well. Better than I expected, actually.

(255 posts)I had a double take on the 2nd photo. I thought it was photoshopped. It really shows your artist eye by catching the perfectly placed divide (literally) between the light and shadow. A real gem! Well done, Peggy! One of your best, imho. Thank you for sharing! Reis
edited: It's that perfect placement of demarcation that really pulls this photo together rather than making separation! That takes a talented and true artistic eye! Again, well done!
CaliforniaPeggy
(155,538 posts)I was actually trying to see how I could lose the divide. It was jarring to me. I want my backgrounds to be, well, in the background. But I couldn't manage it.
But your remark showed me that I could do something else, something that hadn't occurred to me.
This is how I grow. Thank you so much.
