(4,486 posts)I used to order from Schreiner's every fall. The kaleidoscope of colors is incredible. And iris are incredibly hardy tolerating temperatures below 0° and above 110° and months of drought.

(8,249 posts)they were plentiful in peoples yards. Morning Glory also. My paternal great grandmother had a huge half moon shaped tulip bed. That's back in the days when lilacs were common along with Honeysuckle. Been scared off by the bees many times as a child.
