The Veil Nebula NGC 6960 and Pickerings Triangle --- this time with the photo

this is ngc 6960,the western veil nebula, also called the witches broom as well as Pickerings Triangle. there is another part of it called the eastern veil which is above the triangle and out of the frame.

its the remnant of a star that went supernova about 20,000 years ago.

this is 19 hours of exposure time over 4 nights in my backyard

The tendrils are fascinating and seem to be a whole realm of study. They appear to be "braided" in a way that isn't known - perhaps some other forces in our incredible universe.

I'm an amateur photographer and know about exposure, etc. But star tracking, and serious aperture. Is it worth it or perhaps a local astronomy club?

looked up at my clouds I saw a ducky and a horsey, but I changed my mind.
