I just realized I have the ultimate "punk" rig.

My 1972 Nikkormat EL with an early-70s Nikkor 1.4/50mm. I've always loaded her with modern films, Delta and Portra, but something hit me today while I was looking at old punk and street photography…

One of the top films for that style, in that time, was Tri-X, and it's still available; Tri-X 400 pushed to 1600 is one of the defining looks of the era. And it came out in 1954. If I put a roll of 400 in her, it's a setup that could have shot almost any significant punk act…literally no part of that setup is newer than the first time the Ramones played CBGB.
