Related: About this forumWho is Zach Lahn
And why is he showing up on my television? Talk about a committed magat. This clown is running for Governor using talking points about "illegal immigration", "Liberal educators", and so on. I imagine he's trying to get an endorsement from his idol. I also hope he doesn't get out of the primary and just goes away.

Just a yard sign and this release from the IDP.
White Supremacist Steve King Endorses Zach Lahn for Governor
DES MOINES Last night, Republican gubernatorial candidate, longtime political insider, and Kansas carpetbagger Zach Lahn accepted the endorsement of disgraced former Congressman and proud, avowed white supremacist Steve King. Lahn praised King as someone who did the right thing even when it was unpopular, stays true to his principles, and said he is honored to have [Kings] support, despite the former Congressmans decades-long record of promoting hateful views and conspiracy theories.
IDP Chair Rita Hart released the following statement in response:
Steve Kings tenure in Congress was a national embarrassment for our state. While Iowans turned the page on Kings shameful legacy six years ago, Zach Lahn wants to bring it back and embrace it. Steve King is a proud, avowed white supremacist who has peddled harmful conspiracy theories and used his role in Congress to spew hatred. Is that the heritage and culture that Lahn wants to see back in Iowa? Iowans want nothing to do with that and will reject Lahn and King once again.

Edited to add:
Frankly I haven't really paid much attention to their candidates. But I have seen a couple of Feenstra mailers where he brags about being a Trump conservative. I mean...WTF? Is that a winning strategy? Linking yourself to one of the least popular presidents in modern history?

Sad to say he will probably get 15 to 20 % of the repugs. Also sad is that front runner Feenstra seems to be ideologically similar to Lahn. Lahn just says stuff out loud. For that matter, all the Repugs are pretty ideologically aligned and in Trump's back pocket.
