Early, in-person voting starts Tuesday for Wichita special election on sales tax

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - In-person early voting begins Tuesday in the special election for a proposed 1% sales tax in Wichita.

Tuesday marks two weeks until Election Day but voters can cast their ballots early at the Sedgwick County Election Office. The early, in-person voting is an option between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Next Tuesday, Feb. 24, is the last day that voters can request an advance ballot if they prefer voting by mail. Satellite voting locations open next Thursday, Feb. 26 leading up to Election Day: Tuesday, March 3.

Those voting by mail need to make sure that their ballots are returned by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
