A Nuclear Renaissance? Live video discussion on the geopolitics of energy...

https://www.youtube.com/live/DN6AbwRbNvw

Robert Rosner, Doug Scott, and Rachel Bronson discuss how the global nuclear revival is reshaping energy competition, national security, and energy independence.

Event Date
March 30, 2026

About This Event
Nuclear power is making a comeback. After decades of stagnation, countries are racing to build next-generation reactors. Russia and China are constructing plants across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. France and the UK are planning new reactors at home and many others in Europe are reconsidering their own programs. In the US, the Trump administration has moved to expand domestic nuclear capacity, and Governor Pritzker has issued executive orders to facilitate new nuclear builds, moderate energy prices, and power new data centers.

How is this nuclear renaissance shaping global energy competition? What does energy independence mean in today's interconnected world? And who wins—and loses—in the new nuclear age? Join Robert Rosner and Doug Scott, moderated by Rachel Bronson, for a discussion on nuclear power, geopolitics, and energy security.

This program is presented by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs in partnership with the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.

Right now I'm focusing on genetic cardiac issues in prep for my Doctor's appointment tomorrow afternoon.

(I'm not entirely sure that they understand the issue that is possibly just that, genetic, at least from what I'm coming to understand. They never asked about my extended family history and I never thought to point it out.)

Thanks again.
