It's freezing. There's snow on the ground.

And I'm kicking back with a Hot Toddy (bourbon).

Better than hot cocoa.

Thankfully, we’re not that cold down on the left coast (Sarasota), but the orchids are coming inside and I’m not looking forward to taking the laundry out to the dryer (shitty rental doesn’t have room for both W & D in the utility room….)

Luckily, I sprung for the good organic cocoa mix and will use that to warm up after my foray outdoors.

with temperatures down to -10F and the Russians bombing electrical substations and hot water plants and your only alternative to an apartment that is 50F at the warmest is one of the tents set up with kerosene heaters and charging stations for your phone and computer where you can warm up until your devices are charged up. The good news is that yesterday was stastically the coldest day of the year. Better news is that now Russia is a failed state whose allies are being picked off and whose economy is tottering while the word gets out about the true nature of Putin's war and his army and they're not getting recruits for any amount of money.

Or you could be in Russia where stockpiles of replacement parts for generators, power distribution, oil refineries, hot water plants, planes, trains, and much of the war effor are running short and third party straw purchases and smuglling to get them in are being choked off and there will be no way to repair them even when Putin is dead and gone to foul smelling dust.

Here in NM, we haven't had a winter yet. High temps have been in the 50s and 60s with only trace amounts of rain when fronts come through. It's just as well since I can't drink, guess you can have my share.
