(103,792 posts)I hope everything is going well there. I'm sort of envious but I like my choice for the time being. It took the rest of the year to find my spot but I found it and am settling in, finally.
It's exhilarating to have a new environment to adapt to in a new place... like one with toucans who come to visit for breakfast!
For me, the biggest change is that everywhere I go is a drive through the woods. I love all the trees. The only reason Montana has such a big sky is that they don't have very many trees.
Nice pictures!

(1,188 posts)For an afternoon with nature as part of a cruise. Thank you for the wonderful pictures. A few years ago, on an Arizona vacation, I watched for roadrunners. I never saw one, but it made me alert and I saw coatimundis. In Alaska, I watched for puffins. Never saw one, but it kept me alert, and I saw a raven's nest. Those toucans are just beautiful so I will watch for them, but.... 🐒 ?

(545 posts)I saw one when I visited Costa Rica several years ago. Also an Oropendula. They were fun to watch. Costa Rica is a birdwatcher's dream.

(57,964 posts)Then 6 of them swooped into the small tree where the feeder is and I haven't seen them since. Maybe they were just passing through?
