(62 posts)The Packers completely incompetent time management at the end of the game cost them. I was watching with my Dad and we were wondering if Green Bay was purposely trying to ensure that Chicago had enough time to come back. I've seldom seen such terrible time management in the NFL.
It's not like the Packers have been racking up the wins or anything with LaFleur at the helm.

(22,634 posts)They originally brought him on in 2019- partly to appease Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers was very critical of Mike McCarthy, and in the end he was critical of LaFleur. Packers had some great players - but it never translated to a title. At least we got a SuperBowl win under Mike McCarthy.

(62 posts)I don't call LaFleur's win/loss record "a lot" of wins. 9-8-1 is barely .500 this year. I don't see him as being very successful as a head coach. He's not unsuccessful either, just midling and average as his record suggests. As Bill Belichick found out, the NFL is a "what have you done lately" league.
I'm sorry, I forgot to add, FUCK A'A RON RODGERS, my bad. May he retire soon and end my suffering of having to see his dumb ass still in the league.

Everyone loves to hate on Rodgers, and I understand it. But he is still a great athlete and he's very intelligent about football. He just needs to STFU about everything else. I think he'd be a great head coach.

(62 posts)I became a Patriots fan in 1984 so definitely not skewed. You should check out their futility between 1986 and 1995. It was bad, like New York Jets bad.

(62 posts)A A Ron is no athlete. Imbecile, yes. Ignorant, yes.
His role on the field is not as "athlete", he just shot puts the ball.
Lamar Jackson is an athlete. Christian McCaffrey is an athlete.

(159 posts)It was a big mistake to let McManus stay in after the first missed field goal. Then another.
Seven lost points would rattle any team.

(22,634 posts)There are people in this forum who understand the game much better than I do.
But I think time management and overall strategy is one of those things that can make you win or lose a game, and that is the responsibility of the head coach.
