(2,008 posts)6. Happy first night of Chanukkah
I was at a community candlelighting and pot luck supper at my synagogue earlier.
It was a big success, well attended, and I was involved with planning and running it.
I ate a lot of latkes, which we provided, but we somehow didn't get jelly donuts this year. Woops! A few people said they missed the jelly donuts even though there were amazing desserts. I mention them because of your photo. I'll grab a few from Publix or a local bakery this week to honor that tradition. Meanwhile we had a lot of leftovers, and I brought home both cooked and frozen latkes, so I'm set for the week and beyond. Hope your Chanukkah is joyful.
