Send 'er down, Huey!

Send 'er down, Huey!, sometimes Send her down, Huey! or Send it down, Huey!, is an idiomatic Australian phrase uttered in response to the onset of rain. It was in very common usage in the early 20th century, but is less common now.

A cyconic low pressure system has been sitting over central Oz for several days.In a rare event, the tropical low is slowly moving south and we in Victoria are expecting to experience heavy tropical rains in southern Vic. This is not normal. Tropical weather in a temperate zone.

Word is, the Alice is flooding.

Strange times.
