1. Israel's occupation and colonization of the West Bank is illegal under international law.

Why is no leader of any country willing to step in and condemn Israel and demand they stop murdering Palestinians? Other countries could impose severe economic sanctions, but they refuse to do so. I do not understand the abject acceptance of the horrific ongoing daily murders of Palestinian civilians.

2. Because the world hasn't changed as much as we'd like to believe...

...from the days of colonialism and Empire. Brown and black people have always been expendable to the imperialist mind-set. Tout ca change...

Israel must be propped up, allowed to do what it wants because "Israel must be allowed to expand" so the West has a "reliable" strategic, hegemonic partner in the Middle East. Simple but horrifying.

To you and I it is incomprehensible and horrifying what Palestinians have to endure. To our "leaders" and managers of Empire it is just the way the world has always been. Goddess help the Palestinians, Iranians, Cubans etc because the cowardly and complicit Western leaders won't.
