Section 4 (Involuntary Transfer of Power): Creates a mechanism for the Vice President and a majority of the Cabinet to declare the President physically or mentally unable to discharge the duties of the office. The Vice President instantly becomes Acting President. If the President disputes this claim, Congress is required to step in and vote; a two-thirds majority in both chambers is required to keep the Vice President in power.

the first section declares that if the President dies, resigns, or is REMOVED from office, the vice President becomes the President and, with a majority vote of both the House and the Senate ( simple majority ), appoint a new Vice President.

so, my guess is that the "plot" to remove Trump is for JD to declare Trump unfit, get the majority of the cabinet to agree, thus making Vance acting President... and then get the House and Senate to remove Trump with a 2/3rds vote in each chamber ( possible but unlikely ). At that point Vance becomes the President... and can nominate someone to be VP and have them confirmed by a simple majority vote in the House and Senate.

The only way for JD to get 2/3rds of both chambers would be to promise to remove the economic team of morons that Trump installed, remove all the tariffs, apologize to Iran for the war and beg them to re-instate the JOPA agreement ( telling Bibi to stuff it ), open the Strait of Hormuz... and hope that does enough to get republicans re-elected to the House and Senate in the mid-terms... all by no later than July this year ( by the time the oil buffers run out and we look at $8/gal gasoline and the EU is looking at no natural gas for the winter ). Democrats might well push to have ICE de-funded, the 1.776 B restitution fund eliminated, the ballroom canceled, the Arc d' Trump eliminated, and the East Wing rebuilt to original plans ( plus whatever underground hospital and war room is needed for the next President ). Oh, and the entire Trump family arrested and facing fraud and corruption charges ( insider trading, self dealing, etc ).

I am guessing that Robert Reich knows all this.

3. Plots

Surrounded by sycophants, intelligence not all that much a job requirement, means an overall PLAN to make this happen is difficult, if not impossible. Trump was probably advised by intelligence(Russian, Israeli?) to create this barricade of morons. Lord knows how they choose physicians. No one wants this decrepit buffoon reaching for the nuclear trigger. Then anything resembling a PLAN goes into motion or simply dissolves into the same dysfunctional chaos that is permitted today.

Signs? Vance is the bellwether and knows it. Absolute loyalty and cater to any Trump whim. Set up? One thing I noted, that they have a social posting intermediary feeding Trump insane scripts he likes, but which pave the way for 25th amendment stuff. He would have to disappear medically without the possibility of Beria, Goebbels(Miller) or some other sweaty loyalist letting him mount a challenge. Probably will go for a temporary easing of Vance into "temporary" spot-holder with no chance of Trump recovering really. The Truth Social preparer(s) can be safely thrown under the bus in some scenarios and Trump never gets credible access to Truth Social again. The family is a problem if Trump is even insanely coherent. A deal might be made if they want to keep the money and stay out of jail. From how they act, this seems already tacitly understood. Dems can flail away at the crimes, but something tells me we can be had bigly yet again. Like, for a Congressional majority having to anoint Vance.

Whatever fun Russia, China, Netanyahu, et. al. have had, Trump is a useless wild card, the next GOP overwhelmed stooge, not commanding the loyalty of Magats, can be squeezed for new more rational, SAFE gains. The endgame for foreign influence will not be good for America.

Now if Trump reads MY post, he might be alarmed enough to know he has helped make his own noose and cannot trust ANYONE because everyone except the most nefarious staff can help make this happen. Like Stalin, ironically this also comes down to his NECESSARY trust in doctors and a failing brain.

With no plan, nukes may fly. It wouldn't just be paranoia for Trump to realize a) he is vulnerable b) has gone too far to TACO his way back. Trump loyalists have reason believe they will survive protected and equal reason to fear they will be purged with consequences- like an overhung FBI Director.

Unless our "enemies" want to take a stab, it looks like the American way of screwing around will go on and on, and that may be dangerous to them, but they are in position to profit- except for the nukes of course.

The 25th amendment hope seems naive, as is something like a fair election seating Dems in the majority. Seems emotionally. I don't want to be a doomsayer.
